Refrigerator Rebate

Apply online for faster processing, or print and mail in your rebate application. There are two rebates to choose from:

  • Get a $100 rebate on the purchase of an ENERGY STAR® certified refrigerator rated 15% better than the federal standard. Apply Online or Print a Rebate Form.
  • Get a $150 rebate on the purchase of a super-efficient ENERGY STAR certified model with an efficiency rating 20% better than the federal standard. Apply Online or Print a Rebate Form.

Program Update: Due to new ENERGY STAR® specifications that went into effect September, 15, 2014, certain refrigerator models no longer qualify for rebates from the BGE Smart Energy Savers Program®. Click here to see if your model qualifies for a rebate. Models on the CEE Tier 2 tab qualify for $100 and models on the CEE Tier 3 tab qualify for $150.

If you have recently purchased a model that no longer qualifies, but is available on the CEE Tier 2 or Tier 3 tabs here, you can still receive a rebate, but must send your appliance form postmarked by 12/15/14.

Plus, let us pick up and recycle your old refrigerator, and we'll give you $50! Click for details.

Refrigerators use more energy than any other appliance in most U.S. homes. But, with high-efficiency compressors, enhanced insulation, and more precise temperature and defrost mechanisms, an ENERGY STAR certified refrigerator can save you more than $125 in energy costs over its lifetime compared to a standard new model.
