Utilities are the single largest controllable cost in multifamily housing according to the U.S. Department of Energy. In fact, utilities typically account for anywhere from 25% to 35% of overall operating costs. Reducing electricity use through energy efficiency is an excellent way to reduce costs, increase resident comfort and improve both the profitability and value of your property.
