Renters, Condo Owners and Landlords

Get rebates for buying ENERGY STAR appliances and equipment. Anyone from renters to property managers and landlords can take advantage of rebates on energy-efficient heating and cooling equipment and select appliances.

To determine the correct rebate form, choose the scenario below that applies to you.

I am a Renter

  • Renters with their own BGE account
    If you are a renter and purchased the eligible appliance or equipment, and you are the BGE account holder, simply complete the Rebate Form for the product you purchased.
  • Renters without their own BGE account
    If you are a renter and purchased the eligible appliance or equipment, but you are not the BGE account holder (for example, the landlord pays the electricity bill) —

I am a Condominium Owner

  • Condominium owners with their own BGE account:If you own a condo, and you are the BGE account holder, complete the Rebate form for the product you purchased.
  • Condominium owners without their own BGE account: If you own a condo and you do not have your own BGE account, complete the Multifamily Incentives Application. You'll need to ask your property manager to furnish the property's BGE commercial electricity account number and to sign the form, authorizing you to receive the incentive check.

I am a Landlord

  • Landlords with residential BGE account
  • Landlords with commercial BGE account
    If you are the BGE account holder and your account is a schedule G, GS, GL, P or T (a commercial account, which you most likely have if your building has five or more units), complete the Multifamily Incentives Application. You'll need to ask your property manager to furnish the property's BGE commercial electricity account number and to sign the form, authorizing you to receive the incentive check.
