Technical Services

BGE offers technical services to help you identify and evaluate energy-saving opportunities for your unique or more complex building systems. Technical services are available on a limited basis for:

• New construction projects
• Major renovation projects
• Equipment Replacement
• Efficiency upgrades to existing equipment and processes

For existing facilities, a BGE-approved Technical Services Provider will visit your facility and help you either identify new energy-saving opportunities or analyze previously identified opportunities. For new construction or major renovation projects, a Technical Services Provider will support your design team to evaluate multiple energy efficiency options.

BGE will co-fund up to 50% of approved engineering studies, and up to 75% of the cost of commissioning complex custom measures with a per-project cap of $20,000.

Technical Services are required for customers to participate in BGE's Comprehensive Systems and Comprehensive New Construction Program.
