COVID-19 Notice

At BGE, safety is our top priority. That’s why we’re closely monitoring developments related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and taking appropriate precautions to protect the health and safety of our customers, contractors and employees. At this time, BGE has temporarily modified or suspended several of our energy efficiency programs, including those that involve in-person visits to Maryland businesses. In accordance with the statewide stay-at-home directive, BGE discourages participating contractors and Service Providers from entering business locations. Existing work for essential businesses may continue only with the prior consent of the customer and while following the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) recommended precautions. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please check back soon for updates.

Check out our list of federal, state and local COVID-19 resources for information on everything from health and safety guidelines to loans and tax credits for residents and businesses.

Become a Service Provider

If your business provides services related to reducing energy consumption for your commercial or industrial customers, you’re invited to become a participating Service Provider for Energy Solutions for Business.

Why Become a Service Provider?

It’s required to participate in the program

Before you can submit a new incentive application on behalf of business customers, you must complete a Service Provider application and receive approval from BGE to participate. Incentives will not be released until both the Service Provider and installation contractor are registered.

Help your business customers access financial incentives.

You can help your customers take advantage of generous financial incentives available through BGE and the EmPOWER Maryland Energy Efficiency Act for making energy-saving upgrades.

Maintain a competitive edge.

Access program resources and training opportunities, and increase your company’s market exposure through our website.

Learn more about the Service Provider Evaluation System.

To ensure submission of high-quality applications and faster processing, we now evaluate all applications for completeness, accuracy and other criteria. BGE reserves the right to restrict participation for Service Providers who routinely submit poor-quality applications. Please review the grading criteria in our Service Provider Evaluation System.
